Seargeant Brothers Printers is a thriving design and print business based in Pontypool, South East Wales.
To investigate the levels of noise in the printing factory due to printing and finishing equipment, with on-going monitoring upon changes in layout and machinery.
Seargeant Brothers and WCPC worked together in the framework of the ERDF funded project DIPLE.
The project was run over a period of time as printing machinery was replaced and factory layout was changed. Noise levels were measured throughout the factory, under a range of different conditions.
Recommendations were made on hearing protection requirements.
